QUALITY & DOCUMENTATION

Define screen acceptance before the order.

A useful screen specification links the drawing, material and operating duty to measurable acceptance criteria. Agree which dimensions, slot checks and records are required for your project in the quotation.

What to include in the inspection scope

Order-specific quality and documentation checklist
Acceptance areaDetails to agreeRecord to request if required
MaterialSpecified grade, component scope and traceability requirementsMaterial document with the applicable product or batch reference.
Slot openingNominal slot, tolerance, sampling and measurement methodSlot inspection results for the agreed locations or sample.
Geometry and fitCritical dimensions, datums, mounting and screening orientationDimensional inspection against the approved drawing revision.
Construction and surfaceWire / support arrangement, joints, edges and specified finishInspection record or photographs covering the agreed features.
Special operating dutyLoad, pressure, rotating service or project qualification criteriaThe specific test or acceptance evidence defined for that duty.
Packing and identificationProtection, labels, quantity and handling requirementsPacking list and identification records for the shipment.

This is a planning checklist for order requirements. Requested records, testing, inspection services and their scope must be confirmed in the quotation; the checklist is not a test report or a certificate.

Keep the drawing and records connected

Identify the drawing number and revision, units, order reference and applicable product. Mark the critical acceptance characteristics so that the requested inspection record answers the actual equipment-fit or process question.

If the drawing changes, resolve the revision and any impact on construction, price or schedule before proceeding.

Ask for project-specific evidence

Where a standard, customer approval or specialist inspection is required, provide the exact requirement at enquiry stage. Do not infer finished-screen compliance from the material name or a generic product photograph.

Discuss sample review, third-party inspection or additional testing as explicit quotation requirements. Availability and scope need confirmation for the selected screen and order.
